Yoga & Hiking Retreat in Sierra de las Nieves, Andalucia, Spain

Such a beautiful retreat with amazing facilities and location, it is already booked for 2024 so I nabbed this only week left in May 2025!

Retreat: Yoga & Hiking: Soulful Living

Location: Molino Del Ray, Andalucia, Southern Spain: Molino Del Rey and Sierra Nieves National Park

Dates: Mon 5th to Sat 10th May 2025 (5 nights)

Airport: Malaga (50 min drive)

Flights: c£120 + baggage (based on May 2024 prices using Skyscanner). Morning flight out, early evening back.

They advise hiring a car as there is so much to see and do! The link above provides plenty of information on location as well as hiking routes. Idea of cost is below based on May 2024 prices:

Car rental: c£140 (£35pp based on 4 sharing)

Prices include accommodation, breakfast, dinner and 2 yoga classes per day (10 in total): Molino Del Rey Accomodation. They have just put their prices up by 10% (it has been 5 years since the last price hike).

Room / Cost pp

Twin ensuite / £1030

Single ensuite (booked) / £1215

Single in twin ensuite / £1270

King double ensuite (booked) / £1090

Vegetarian/vegan food: Molino Del Rey Restaurant

MDR’s experience is that ‘yogis’ eat 2 meals a day. I’m thinking - you haven’t met my lot!! But there is access to afternoon cake daily, unlimited teas and coffees and you can help yourself to food from the kitchen (i.e. breakfast/dinner leftovers) as long as you clean up after yourself. There is a supermarket 4km away. Unfortunately, they cannot cater for special diets but you are welcome to bring supplements.

I am sure meal times can be adjusted but they suggest:

Breakfast: 10am (perhaps on the days we are hiking we can breakfast at 9.30am)

Dinner: 6.30pm

Spa/Massages: Molino Del Rey Offers

Hikes: Molino Del Rey Surroundings

I plan to offer 3 hikes, days tbc, perhaps weather dependent but hopefully it will be lovely and pleasant at that time of year and not scorching. Of course some of you may like a day trip to Marbella and other areas. I can see a spot of shopping for many of you based on your Turkey excursions! Or simply relaxing by the pool, in the caves and hammocks.

Yoga x Forest Bathing - Renewal, Expansion & Growth

Spring is around the corner. We’ll begin to move out of hibernation, our energy levels rise and we tend to have a brighter perspective on life. It is time to take stock of what isn’t serving us and consider what we need to make room for.

Empower • Yield • Grow

Spring is the perfect time for fresh starts and taking action. It is a time of renewal, cleansing, and detoxing both physically and mentally.

Emotional ~

We tend to hold onto certain ways of thinking and behaviours, known in Buddhism as samskaras. These samskaras aren’t necessarily relevant or needed anymore but they have manifested themselves from our previous experiences. As we repeat our behaviours and actions, these samsakras become more deeply embedded. Spring is a great time to shine the light on them and begin to soften their power.

Turn inwards ~ what in your heart is seeking change?

Physical ~

During winter we tend to eat heavier foods, consume more sugar, caffeine and alcohol, and store more fat to protect us against the cold. This creates a build-up of toxins which makes the natural detoxification process slow down. We may feel fatigued, experience brain fog and notice an unhappy digestive system.

Spring is the perfect time to remove this build-up of toxins through stimulating 'Agni' which is our digestive fire. Strong Agni leads to excellent health and wellbeing. Agni weakens when toxins build through poor diet, stress (stomach aches/anxiety), negative emotions (pent-up anger, sadness, guilt) and a compromised immune system (eg fructose inhibits our immune system).

The yoga practice is designed to generate warmth, promote circulation and lymphatic flow. Let’s wring out the sluggishness of winter through twists, side bends and chest openers. Prepare to feel invigorated yet calm and at ease.

Cost: £80 EARLY BIRD if paid by February 15th, increasing to £90 after.

Payment: Miss L Brown / 070116 / 31681880

Cancellation: You will receive a full refund 3 weeks or more prior to the event. Within 3 weeks of the event you will receive a 75% refund.

Venue: Abinger Hammer. Full postcode for Lisa’s home will be sent with final confirmation details nearer the time. There is parking for 10 cars.

Please contact me to book on!

8 Week Course for Stress, Anxiety & Depression

8 Week Course for Stress, Anxiety & Depression

Scout Hut, Weybridge, Surrey. UK

Looking after our mental health has always been important, but with the topsy turvy world we’re living in, the net is spreading wider and it’s important we keep an eye on our own mental health and those of the people around us; loved ones, work colleagues, acquaintances.

The 8 week course is suitable for anybody experiencing the above. Once you have registered your details, you have an initial phone call with me and are then required to fill out a booking form. This is essential to ensure I can look after and support those in my care during the 8 weeks.

I have been trained via The Minded Institute (TMI) to deliver this course which I feel incredibly passionate about. Since day one of my training, I have felt excited and privileged to be able to offer this.

Heather Mason, the founder of TMI, began delivering this course over a decade ago: https://themindedinstitute.com/about-us/heather-mason/. After years of careful planning, listening and research, and naturally trial and error, the course I present to you now has been carefully curated. The purpose is to empower you, the individual, and as a collective, to manage symptoms of stress, anxiety and/or depression through breathwork (pranayama), mindfulness practises and yoga poses (asana). A big part of the offering is psychoeducation; I believe part of fostering positive change and transformation comes from understanding the ‘why’ behind what I will be teaching you.

If you would like to learn more and register your interest in the above course, please simply reply to this email and I will be in contact. If the time and/or dates do not work, please do still register your interest for the next one.

Spaces are limited to 8 and as this is my first one the cost will be £200pp to increase to £250pp onwards (as guided by TMI).

**I am really conscious of the pressure of the cost of living and how many of us are and will be affected, financially and potentially mentally. I would like to offer one place on this course at a 50% discount. If you feel you would (or know someone who might) benefit from this course but are limited by financial constraints please do message me.

Please do forward this to anybody you feel might benefit; yoga experience is not necessary. The wider the reach, the greater the change and the more positive the outcome, for us as individuals and therefore as a collective. The possibilities are endless.

Questions welcome!

Love Lindsey xoxo

Lindsey - you are a star! I had such a nice time and was lovely to meet everyone. You did a wonderful job organizing, communicating, managing the entire event while making it all seem so effortless and easy! That’s your best quality - staying calm above everything.

A mum, at drop off, said “ Lakshmi you look so rested - what have you been up to this weekend” - that’s the best testament isn’t it?

Lakshmi, Virginia Water

What an absolutely wonderful weekend and so much to think about following it. You did such a fantastic job putting everything together from you wonderful practice, to the 'extras' and of course the food. I don't think that the weekend could have gone any better.

Karen, Addlestone

Thanks Lindsey for arranging, and being such a calm host throughout. Gave me a chance to make some new connections and renew old ones, including with myself.

Supraja, Barnes

For me this weekend was brilliant. It allowed me to reconnect with myself (which I wasn’t expecting at all), chill, be fed (lovely food), meet amazing and lovely people and great yoga.

Lindsey you did an amazing job. It was smooth, organized and beautiful.

Kajal, Virginia Water

What a fabulous retreat it was, Lindsey, and what a treat to meet such funny, smart and interesting people. I cannot think of a way I’d rather have spent my weekend, and it’s lightened me up brilliantly for the darker, colder months to come.

Detox Yoga x Vision Board

Without fail every January I run a detox style workshop to beat those January blues, to fire up the body in the winter, get the blood moving and our muscles active as many of us, understandably, hibernate, eat, drink and be merry. Christmas is one of my most favourite times of the year but January can bring with it some unwanted energy and emotions as another year has come to an end and a new year begins. Therefore these workshops, most importantly I feel, are to start the new year with positive intentions and goal setting and this time we are doing it with a twist!

My friend and journalist Sasa and I have decided to team up to bring you a mini day retreat to include yoga, a short creative writing session to tap into your desires, a visualisation meditation, lunch and an afternoon creating a vision board for 2020. Here is some blurb...

Whether it's an email to your boss, a card for a friend, or even just a post-it note stuck on the fridge reminding the family that you're working late, you write every day to communicate with other people... but how often do you write to communicate with yourself? Sasa Jankovic is an award winning journalist, poet and author whose 'Write it Out' journalling workshop will show you how the simple act of putting pen to paper can help clear mental clutter so you can reduce stress, get more productive and creative, and be honest with yourself about what you really want to achieve - and how to get there. All you need to bring along is a notebook, a pen, and an open mind.

Like the sound of that? As I mentioned, alongside this we will be creating a vision board. This is a really powerful way to create the life you want using images, photos and words. We provide the material: A3 board, glue and magazines/images/words and you just need to bring yourself and your visions. An idea of a vision board is below. There is no right and wrong way to do this! It is completely personal to you but if you think this could be for you start stashing any magazines away, they will come in handy.

The event will be held at The Yoga Lounge, Egham

£100 to include yoga, lunch, unlimited tea & coffee, writing workshop and vision board materials

Spaces limited to 14

Yoga & Sound Bath Workshop

Join me to experience a gentle yoga flow/yin yoga class followed by an hour’s sound bath with Alexandra from the https://www.soundrelaxationcentre.com/. If you have never attended a sound bath it can be a blissful experience, immersing yourself in sounds emanating from Tibetan bowls, gongs, flutes and rainsticks to mention a few. How our body and mind responds to sound is a completely individual experience. I’ve had clients experience anything from feeling emotional to describing a floating sensation to having visions to simply disappearing into the ether. Try it? Contact me: www.liveyoga.co.uk/connect

The workshop is being held at Addlestone Community Centre, Garfield Road. KT15 2NJ. Cost is £30.

Relax, Replenish & Restore Yoga Retreat

Beautiful riverside setting in Hampshire to while away the weekend indulging in what you love.

The perfect weekend retreat for yoga, massages and art, all enjoyed in a purpose built studio by the river.

The perfect weekend retreat for yoga, massages and art, all enjoyed in a purpose built studio by the river.

Fancy a break from doing & focus simply on being?

I can't deny I've procrastinated about running a retreat but I cast aside my, 'there's simply not enough time to organise' and devoted my energy into finding and booking a retreat in a space and location which encourages pure 'time off' from day to day life.

The plan:

  • Arrive from 3pm Friday 18 October until 3pm Sunday 20 October. The 1st yoga class will commence around 5.30pm on the Friday.

  • There will be 5 yoga classes to be held either in the purpose built studio along the river or there is a yurt which stays up till the end of October.

  • Options to indulge in include an art class, jam making and spa treatments. The 2 hours art class is £30pp to incl materials (min 6), spa treatments £50 per 40 mins (min 6) and jam making £45pp (min 10).

  • And if none of those take your fancy then long walks abound or maybe a spot of shopping in Winchester. The weekend is yours to do as you wish. The classes will be pre breakfast and pre dinner.

  • Vegetarian food is prepared and delivered to the site for us to serve and put away to include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  • The location is 15 mins outside Winchester.

  • There are 9 spaces + moi! and the price is c£385 (room choice dependent) including food with £100 non refundable deposit required on booking.
